On
October 26, 2026, Owen Sound residents head to the polls for another
municipal election - choosing from a similar narrow slate of
candidates as they've done many times before in previous elections.
Each
time we go to the polls, we HOPE for a council: that
will finally listen; that will recognize that more than half of our
residents are struggling financially; and that we HOPE
we can deliver
meaningful, lasting change.
HOPE is not a Strategy
It 's time for a new approach!

What do We Mean by:
"Remake"
We are not
advocating that every member of the current council be replace with new
residents. Rather we believe that our city council should reflect the
makeup of the community. The composition of council should include
residents from all regions of the economic spectrum; have a variety of
life experiences; cover a range of educational accomplishments, and
include at least one member with significant financial experience and
business acumen.

Real
change won't come until we expand the candidate pool to include people
who truly understand the current and past disconnect between the city's
spending priorities and
convince Owen Sound residents
that it's in their best interest to cast their ballot. |

Our Mission:

residents to participate meaningfully in the next municipal election - and
to help shape a local government that truly represents the community it
serves by ...

providing a dynamic community-based website that allows
Residents to;

view information on the City's financial and communications
track records

review voting information and candidate
profiles,

receive support whether considering to run
or have made the decision to run, and

share their opinions on the
issues with other residents before casting their
ballot.

fostering a more representative group of candidates for the next
election. We do not endorse any candidates or support any
political ideology and we are not organized by any political
party. We are calling on residents from all walks of life to
carefully consider the issues and to vote for the candidates
that best reflect their values.
